This is the colour depth options I choose the default option although it is simple it has the best effect for the picture other options distorted the picture and effected the overall picture quality. Although a slight change in colour maybe would have looked better i felt the option i chose offered the best picture quality. It also has a good download speed which is very important on websites as if it takes to long then it will be ineffective on a website. It also has a good colour resolution. It also depends what you are using the photograph for if i where to have used it for a black and white book then there would be no point having fantastic colour resolution and on a website it is important to have both good download speed and good colour resolution.

COPYRIGHT LAW

copyright is when a company creates something eg a logo/there trademark design, and then another company steal it and use it as there own without permission.

EXAMPLE

The company 'boisht' created there own logo to go with there company, if a different company print off items  putting this logo onto it, it is then made as a fake t-shirt which is also called copyright.

Intellectual property

Intellectual property is when someone uses another persons design/work and passes it off as there own without permission.

EXAMPLE

kingswood have created spreadsheets for there pupils to follow there work, if a different school like CTC log onto the internet and use kingswoods spreadsheet without permission, this is Intellectual property as they did not come up with there own idea

IMPROVEMENT

i have improved my band logo from a friends opinion and edited the writing, making it slated so it looks professional against the background:-)

unit 35 p3/p4/p5 band

to create this i have used, blend tool, layer mask and gradient to blend the 7 pictures together so they look like one using adobe photoshop.
i wrote the band name using text and just copied it 3 times.
i then created the band logo using adobe firework. the logo is in 3d, outer emboss and inner bevel.

this was my first original design but i prefered the top one
The top one has better design of the blend tool being used and much more effort into the design/logo
the 1D poster, is plain not much use of tools and a logo has just been thrown into it.

P5, IMPROVEMENT TO SIANS COMMENT

i have used rounded rectangle tool to create the outside shape, then used the 3d effect on it to create the slanted look. Then added the writing B B K and used the direct selection tool and created an efect on the writing. then i just added stars using the stars tool, coloured them in black moved them about and changed the size

 A local band would like a logo designed for their website this needs to be combined with their band photo.

-bitmap would be great for this, you can create the logo on adobe photo shop then save it for a website site and changing the type as a jpeg which changes the logo into an image making it easier to add to a website.

 A builder wants some eye catching text for the side of his van to improve business opportunities.

for this, you should use a vector because you can create the text in adobe firework/photoshop but when you put it onto the van the quality is still as good as you created on the computer comes out clearly. you can also edit each word if it doesnt look as good big, even if you enlarge or shrink the words they do not loose quality.

The nursery on your estate would like a flyer designed to promote the facility.

-for this you should use a portable document format (pdf) so that if you create the flyer on microsoft publisher the updated version using pdf people who do not have the updated one will still be able to access the file.
